The atmosphere was tense and uneasy.
The men and women of Section A Division 12 was getting restless. The commander had been detained due to medical concerns and they were told that a temporary commander was assigned to take over.
"I heard we're getting Fairy," whispered one.
"No way! The Fairy?"
"One and the same."
"God help-" he was cut off.
The Fairy entered the briefing room, an air of mystery trailing behind him.
He stood behind the commander's desk and surveyed the room; his new domain, or so it seemed.
The Fairy looked at every expetant face, matching eyes with everyone that dare looked only to be put down by his menacing glare.
"I'm sure you all are aware that your commander will be out of duty for some time," he said. His voice was clear and direct. No tinge of fear at being in an unknown evironment.
"I've heard a lot about this division from the previous commander. Some good and some bad," obviously accentuating that there was more bad than good.
A murmur of giggles arose but were easily quelled by his icy stare.
"It has been decided that this unit will be split and placed into the other divisions of Section A."
Jaws dropped at every corner of the room.
He proceeded to read out the names and the divisions that each member was assigned to.
When he had finished, he looked up at all the bewildered faces. He showed a small sign of triumph but quickly hid it. The fairy magic worked yet again.
"A final word of warning. I know what you are all capable of and I would really rather not see your shananigans when you join the other divisions. That is all."
He left just as mysteriously as he had appeared. Leaving behind a room of sheep without their shepherd.
Agent JG shook of the unbelief at the events that had just transpired and looked around.
"So I guess the briefing is over, huh?"
He stood up and left for the commissary thinking about what would satisfy his craving for food.
