Heaven

Recently I've been trying to imagine what Heaven will be like. It's not as simple as I thought.

Since there's no hunger in Heaven, then there's plenty of great food there. That I know. I used to think that we would get bodies that didn't have to eat that's why there is no hunger, but actually there's enough food there to satisfy us. I'm sure it's all free too.

Since there is no boredom in Heaven, then what stuff could cause the boredom to go away? If it's all the same, then we won't get bodies that is dull of boredom. There won't be boredom because there's plenty of fun stuff to do!

First of all, there should be rocking praise and worship. Of course that will be there. Singing and just enjoying God's presence. I'm sure praise and worship sessions can go on forever. I imagine maybe a big hall where people can go in to praise and worship for how long they want and when they decide to do something else, they can just go out. *shrugs*

How about sports? Will there still be sports in Heaven? Oinkypig doesn't seem to think so. "How can you play soccer when everyone will be so gracious? It'll be like everyone will let each other score goals," he says. Maybe there will be still be a thing called healthy competition. But in a game like soccer, things can sometimes get rough. That's only for soccer. What will happen to sports like Rugby or American Football? Maybe Heaven will have better sports? Who knows? Let's not limit sports to the sports that we play here on earth.

How about video games? I'm not sure about this one. Most of the games in the market today are violent and not really something that suits Heaven. Maybe Mario Party? It's not really violent. Just that the character "Bowser" can be considered demonic so maybe not? Maybe I'll find something more exciting than video games.

Heaven has infinite possibilities. I would also picture Heaven as a place where animals are tame. Imagine having a lion for a pet. Lie on it's furry back. Pat its hairy head.

JG: Daddy God, are there beaches there in Heaven?
Abba Father: Of course, with white sands that are whiter than any white sand beach you can find on earth.
JG: Cool. =)

Heaven... It's really something unimaginable but worth looking forward to.

Pulled through.

Man, the past week went by like a flash.

I had my first history test last tuesday. The expectation for the paper is that one essay should be four sides long (two pieces of foolscap) and we must do that in only 45 minutes!

As of now, I can only do 2.5 sides. Next term we are expected to write 3 sides in 45 minutes. Until finally we can do 4 sides. It really seems impossible now.

Also there was research presentation on Monday and my group had almost nothing to show the teacher. My group was the last group to show their findings to the teacher so while we were awaiting our turn, my group mates and I tried to learn the material that we had (we had the material but we did not have time to read it).

When it was nearing our turn, we thought we had learned enough to 'smoke' the teacher (that means bluff our way and seem like we know what we are talking about. don't ask me how the term comes about, I also don't know. The teacher was the one who used the term. He often says, "Don't try to smoke me in your essays because I know when you're smoking or not.")

My group mates and I even had the humour to joke amongst ourselves that we are going to smoke the teacher like a cigar. We thought we could smoke him.

In the end, sad to say, the fire was put out before the smoke could come. Our thesis was wrong and the teacher sort of lectured us a little about it. Our wrong thesis showed that we did not understand the topic at all.

The moral of the story. Smoking is bad.

.....

After those 2 days, everything was smooth again. There were no tests or anything. God really pulled me through those two days.

On Monday, we must present the draft for the topic question that we researched upon. Me and my group are going to need some serious pulling.

Busy, busy, busy!

Homework piles up. Essays due and tests and reasearch date collection and project work and tutorials.

There's also songs to make mine!

Thank you, Jesus, that You are with me and I can do everything through You.

Singapore Youth Festival

Silver. Good? Of course gold would have been better. I do not know whether or not it is easy to get a 'metal' for SYF instead of a 'paper'. I do know one thing; for a group that was only formed in December, getting a silver is a great achievement.

Three months of practice only. I believe it is amazing.

Although I was not there performing with the rest, I was glad to be there and share a slice of the moment. Not to mention it was the first ever SYF for the ensemble. A silver during the first time. How wonderful is that?

The only thing that saddens me is that SYF only happens once every two years. I thought I would get my chance to be there performing. It cannot be helped. The only thing I can do when I am already able to do so is maybe train up the future JC1's for the next SYF.

The only thing I can look forward to is performing for any concert that may be coming up. There should be one in July.

My future is as bright as the promises of God.
