Here's something to think about the next time you use the word, "luck".
The first three letters are LUC. Duh.
That's the same letters for the name, LUCifer.
In other words, it seems that the word luck derives from the name Lucifer, the fallen angel, a.ka. Mr. S. A. Tan himself.
This idea is not my own but it makes sense.
While thinking about it, I suddenly realized that the phonetic sound of lucky is very similar to the name Loki.
As taken from wikipedia:
"Loki or Loke is the mythical giant/deity of mischief in Norse mythology... He is described as the 'contriver of all fraud'... Loki bears many names: Lie-Smith, Sly-God, Shape-Changer, Sly-One, Lopt, Sky Traveller, Sky Walker and Wizard Of Lies among others."
Coincidence?
