The Chaplain

I am really blessed to have come under the Grace Message. The Christian life is a life of victory and not of defeat. Jesus has already won the victory and all I have to do is rest.

All the Christian JC1 students were asked to gather during orientation. We had no choice but to listen to one of the school's chaplains. He said something like, "We, the chaplains, and the mentors are here for you. If you want to maximise your spiritual growth, and you feel that your own church is not enough, you can come to us. If you have a sick class-mate and you're not courageous enough to pray for him because if he doesn't get healed then 'malu', come to us. We're very thick-skinned people. It is God who heals, it is up to Him whether He wants to heal them or not..."

From then on, I felt sadness and maybe pity. The whole auditorium echoed with amen after he said that, but I knew that He did not have a big enough revelation of God's love. God's love is so infinite, so big, so powerful, there is no word that can truly express it. God wants to heal!

If only they knew of God's grace.

P.S. I've only listened to two chaplains and they give me the opinion that every one of them are boring speakers.
