Number 3
Let's see... There's the President, that's number 1. There's the VP, that's number 2. And there's the Secretary. The one with the most paperwork to do...
It is a great honour as well as a lot of responsibility to be the Secretary for the 2nd Guitar Ensemble Executive Committee (Ex-Co).
Honestly, I did not apply for the position. If I were to choose, I would want to be the treasurer. That's number 4 and 4 is my favourite number. Haha, well, it is good to have experience in this kind of thing.
I am sure that all the skills that I will learn as the secretary can be applied to whatever it is I will be doing in future.
The journey to this post taught me more about God's grace. I mean, I did not go out and apply for the post, neither did I go out of my way to impress the teachers or the seniors so that I would be selected as part of the Ex-Co.
It truly is favour. There was an interview before the selection and I remember the last time I had to go for an interview: I was really nervous and could not really give the answers that I wanted. That was then, I was relying on myself that time for the interview. Needless to say, I did not get selected for that particular interview.
However, this time, I knew that I was not going to the interview because of what I have done. I do not think that I did anything that would earn me the right to be selected. That was what made the interview easier for me. I knew I did not bring myself there, and I knew I was not the one who will be working to get through the interview. I also realised that I will not be the one working at my job - I did not even ask for the job in the first place.
Although they say that the secretary is the most hard position, I know that I will not be doing it alone. If I were to work hard and make the most of my position and reach the highest quality that I can ever give, I will also be the one working to stay there.
I have already left it all to Him.
