I awoke and realized that I had fallen asleep during the journey. It was already night time. I drowsily looked around the car. Dad was not in the driver's seat and Mom was not in the front passenger seat.
We must have arrived.
I looked to my left and saw Jonas sound asleep. I crawled towards him slowly as much as my little toddler hands and feet could. I shook him.
"Kuya, wake up. Daddy and Mama are gone."
He awoke a little grouchy and he looked around.
"They must have gone ahead to Grandpa and Grandma's house," he said. "Let's go find them."
We stepped out of the car. I tightened my leather jacket to shield myself from the cold dark night. There was a gathering of people in front of the car. It looked like a party. I looked around and the area looked unfamiliar.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"They must have parked a way off from Grandpa and Grandma's house. See? This street is the street that leads to the house." He pointed down towards the other way where it looked dark and empty.
The street was starting to look familiar. From the size of the street, it did seem like the familiar street. If we just walked further, we would reach the right turn to the main street and so the path to Grandpa and Grandma's house should be at the left side of the street.
I hesitated after looking down that dark and empty path. It seemed misty to my little mind with a wild imagination.
I did not dare walk towards the darkness. At that moment, I felt something warm in my hand.
"Let's go."
I looked up. My brother was holding my hand. He smiled and I felt safe. Together we walked down that dark street. The two of us with just our leather jackets to protect us from the cold.
As we walked, the mist seemed to clear away just as darkness runs away from light. We were reaching the right turn which meant the left pathway would soon be there. I had the image in my mind, there was a big path on the left but before that is the small path leading to the house. We would soon be there, nice and warm and safe.
The street started to turn to the right. We were almost there. To my horror, there was no large path to the left neither was there a small path. A big brick wall curved the street leading to the main street to the right.
We were lost.
I would have cried right there and then. But a hand was holding mine.
"Let's go back to the car."
I nodded. Teary-eyed, I walked on with my brother. As we were walking back, he noticed an entry way to the left. It led to the main street.
"It's the church!" He exclaimed.
The church! That church that we always passed when going to our grandparents' house. From the church we would know the way. We walked towards it but the main street was busy with activity. The cars were zooming past.
Two little boys would not be able to cross safely. My brother saw two ladies who looked like they were going to cross. He casually approached them and with his innate charm, he asked whether they could help two cute little boys cross the street.
As we crossed, a man came from the other side and saw us.
"There you are! Your parents have been looking for you."
The man thanked the ladies and he brought us back to the car but instead of the car he brought us to the gathering in front of the car. It was a party. There were so many visitors that the party extended into the street.
We were soon led to our parents. I was so relieved as they hugged us both.
I glanced at my brother and he glanced back with a smile.
I looked up at my parents. "Can we go home now?" I asked.

Keyboards
Of all the times to have a spoilt keyboard...
Its pretty darn hard to blog with the On-screen Keyboard program.
Just try clicking one letter at a time to write an entry.
It's not fun. I assure you.
-----
Two years went by so fast...
I regret not looking up that time...
Do you even know you met me...
-----
GWOAR! This is irritating. Can't even play any real games without a keyboard....
Someone buy me a new gamecube game quick!

White Blood Cells
Studies have shown that white blood cells can attack a person's own body and cause sickness to the person.
White blood cells are the body's natural protectors and they "attack" any unknown entities that come inside the body like viruses and stuff.
So how come they would attack a person's own body?
When a person is depressed, somehow the white blood cells will start attacking the body. One example is the sickness rheumatoid athritis where the white blood cells attack the person's own joints.
The same goes for being stressed or feeling guilty. Especially about feeling guilty, the body sort of punishes itself cause it can sense a person's guilt and thus it would seem appropriate to send justice.
I'm not really sure about the exact details of how the whole thing works but all I know is don't be depressed, stressed, or guilt-ridden.
One way to prevent this from happening is to laugh a lot.

Three men were walking until they came to a river. They all wanted to get across to the other side.
The first man stepped up and prayed, "Dear, God, please give me the power and ability to cross this river."
POOF! His arms and legs became muscular and he swam across the river in 4 hours.
The second man saw this and decided to pray, "Dear, God, please give me the power and ability to cross this river, but without getting wet."
POOF! His arms became muscular and a rowboat appeared and so he rowed across the river in 2 hours.
The third man saw all this and also decided to pray, "Dear, God, please give the mower and ability to cross this river in the shortest time possible."
POOF! He became a woman and he crossed the bridge.

God Is In It With You
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Do you feel misunderstood and forsaken by the people you love? Have you been falsely accused and stripped of everything, without a dime to your name? Is your life messed up? Maybe today is the day you hit rock-bottom and you wonder if you can ever rise again.
Joseph, who was sold by his brothers into slavery (Genesis 37:28), went through all these emotions. Still, he was conscious that God was in it with him every step of the way. Though his life was a mess, he believed that it was not an accident. Though the things that were happening to him were not good, he believed that God was making all things work together for his good. And it was indeed so, for Joseph eventually rose to the most powerful position in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh. (Genesis 41:40)
Probably, this consciousness that God was in it with him was the reason he forgave his brothers when they came back later in his life to seek his forgiveness. Joseph told them, "But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life." (Genesis 45:5)
So like Joseph, whatever you are facing now, be conscious that God is in it with you. For when you are Jesus-conscious, though you may have nothing or not much now, you have everything when you have Jesus!
The same Jesus who went around enriching others with 12 basketfuls of leftovers, a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fishes, and who never impoverished anybody, will empower you to prosper and succeed in life. The same Jesus who went about doing good will cause good to explode in your life. The same Jesus who went about healing the sick and never giving anyone disease will keep you in divine health and protect you from harm.
Because "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8), as He was with Joseph, He is with you. And He will empower you to live the high life — the abundant life in which you will see all of God’s promises manifest!
